        1950s Rockabilly Dress

This is the pink gingham dress by Jacques Esterel that Bridgette Bardot wore on her wedding day in the summer of 1959. There are three versions of necklines, with buttons to the front and 3/4 sleeves, cinched in waists and gathered knee length skirts. Known mostly for the Dorothy-association and its place at a picnic, the checked print has received a sexy-cool upgrade for todays modern woman and is widely copied and helped gingham to become fashionable once again.
