Vintage 1940s Pattern, Women's Lumber, Bomber Jacket, Land Girl
War-time Land Girl Lumber, Bomber Jacket. In Style I, II and V, the front buttoning jacket, gathered at the lower edge, is joined to a waist band and finished with bishop sleeves. Style I and V have small pointed collars. Style II is collarless and the front is trimmed with two patch pockets. The collar and sleeves of Style V are in contrasting fabric and the front is finished with a patch pocket. Styles III and IV are collarless and do not button down the front. Style III is joined to a front-buttoning waist band and patch pockets trim the front. The sleeves are short. In Style IV, a ribbon is drawn through the casing at the lower edge and fastens in a front bow.
