        Formal & Informal Dress

        If a cool little frock in cotton or silk is called for you will like this pattern exceedingly – or if you want a long sleeved dress in silk, for more formal wear you will find the pattern equally attractive,

        If you want to make a dress in lightweight woollen to suit the chillier days of summer, then again our pattern will oblige.

        Diagram 1. Shows you the very smart lines of this charming three-way dress. It has the new shorter skirt with slight swing to the hem, and the bodice is a slimming crossover shape. Its lower edge in front is gathered under a pretty high waisted section that is cut all in one with the slenderising front panel of the skirt. At the back the skirt is taken to the normal waistline and has a centre seam.

        4 yards of 36” (3.7meters of 91.5cm) fabric for either version

        The Long-Sleeved Dress requires 4 3/8 yards of 36” (4 meters of 91,5cm) or 3 Yards of 54” fabric (2.8 meters of 1.4 meters) fabric.
