        40s Pretty Lingerie

        If not a slip then a nightdress. The upper front section of the slip is styled with darts and joins to an inset. The back is cut in one piece. The flared skirt is seamed down the centre front and back. Shoulder straps support the slip. Style I, is trimmed with top-stitching and has a faced upper front section. In Style II, lace outlines the upper and lower edges.
