Collection: Brand Maudella

The Maudella Sewing Company was a popular independent paper pattern maker founded in Bradford, West Yorkshire, in 1937 by Maude Eleanor Dunsford. Known for translating high-fashion trends into affordable home-sewing options, the brand thrived during wartime austerity and remained a staple for dressmakers until it was absorbed into the New Look pattern brand in the 1980s.  See pattern companies for more details.
