MATERIALS: Two pieces of skiver in natural-colour, 12” by 10”; scraps red skiver for mouth and shoes; small pieces cotton print for sun-suit and bonnet; about 3 yds. bias binding to contrast with print; thick yellow or
brown thread for hair; black, white, and red embroidery thread for features; sewing thread to match skiver and material; scrap yellow and green felt or material for flower. For stuffing, use anything not suitable for salvage.
NOTE. It is best to trace off the pattern on to paper, lay this on the leather, and mark outlines with a sharp point which gives an indented line for cutting.
