Customer feedback:

I would say it's easily beginner friendly, super easy to put together and understand! It's a nice top is start with as you can customise it and have a really unique piece! It's also just such a classic and staple in any vintage lover’s wardrobe! And downloading it was a breeze and was easy to put together, really love the option to print it off and just be able to crack on with the pattern as soon as I've bought it!

 W1529633 1940’s Wrap Dress

This dress pattern is true to the 1940’s era. The dress is easy to make and looks and feels stylish and could be worn anytime. The front gives the illusion of a full skirt formed by a clever tie at the front threaded through flaps that cross at the waist. The extended shoulders give it the 40’s feel. I made the dress in a small print of soft cotton fabric so that the front wrap of the dress could sit flat without bulk. I decided to line my dress as that’s my preference.

V 4270 1940’s Evening Dress

This is a beautiful evening dress with 8 panels in the skirt. I lined the skirt as well as interlining each panel with net. The top is fitted and has a lovely effect over the bust. The altar neck holds the dress in place securely. I would recommend using a medium weight material to allow the skirt to flow nicely and the top to stay in place. The pattern has a self made fabric belt although I added a padded bow on the back of the belt to give it a bit more impact. Quite a straight forward pattern to follow just the bust area needs a bit of concentration.
