        40s Ballet Slippers Pattern

        These ballet slippers may be made in four sizes S,M,L,XL.  Decide which size you are be placing your stocking foot on the sole pattern. A material already quilted is also suitable.

        Sewing Notions

        Matching thread, Ribbon or Bias binding.

        Fabric Amount Guide

        SLIPPERS: ½ yd. 36” or 3/8 yd. 54” material.
        INTERLINING MATERIAL: ½ yd. 35” heavy outing flannel.
        LINING MATERIAL: ½ yd. 36” or 3/8 yd. 54” material.
        RIBBON OR BINDING FOR BINDING, BOW AND TIES:
        6 yds. ½” ribbon or 6 yds.
        No.5 bias binding. Scraps of chamois or an old leather bag large enough for two sole pieces; this is used in reinforcing bottom of soles. Thread to match ribbon or slipper material.

        Recommended Fabrics

        They may be made of velveteen, satin, corduroy, flannel, upholstery fabrics or a cotton material such as percale or chintz and trimmed with ribbon or bias binding. See our Fabric Partners
