Use the size chart above to find your closest modern-day size equivalent in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the USA or Canada, using your bust measurement in inches or centimetres.
How to Measure Your Bust
- Wear a well-fitting bra.
- Wrap a measuring tape around the fullest part of your bust.
- Keep the tape level across your back and comfortably snug, without pulling it tight.
- Record your measurement in inches or centimetres and compare it with our size chart.
For the best fit, always choose your pattern size based on your body measurements, not your usual shop size. Always check your bust measurement before ordering!

OMG!! The perfect dress for my G-daughters Wedding end of the month. Love it! However, I will never get it made. First time for a digital download pattern. All went well until I went to put it together. It is worse than a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle. So frustrating. I have been sewing all my life and I’m not a novice but this got me. Guess I look for something in a paper pattern, not sellers fault. I just did not know what I was doing.
Easy to use, great quality
