Use the size chart above to find your closest modern-day size equivalent in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the USA or Canada, using your bust measurement in inches or centimetres.
How to Measure Your Bust
- Wear a well-fitting bra.
- Wrap a measuring tape around the fullest part of your bust.
- Keep the tape level across your back and comfortably snug, without pulling it tight.
- Record your measurement in inches or centimetres and compare it with our size chart.
For the best fit, always choose your pattern size based on your body measurements, not your usual shop size. Always check your bust measurement before ordering!

If you're looking for a 1950s pedal pushers pattern, look no further! I absolutely LOVE this pattern. The pants fit beautifully and are very flattering on my figure. I've already made two pairs and plan to make three more.
PDF - 1950s Pattern, Women's Slacks, Pants - Multi-sizes - Download
I have made a mock-up yesterday, and the trousers fit me perfectly - the first 50s trousers pattern that does! It's a very easy and quick pattern to make up. The only thing that had me a little baffled was that the instruction steps weren't in order in the PDF (so it wasn't step 1, 2, 3, 4 etc, but step 1, 4, 7, 10 etc). Other than that, I am very happy!
