Dawn & Team

Georgia Dress. This versatile style is cut in four sections. The shawl collar which may be turned up or down in the back is cut in one with front. The push-up sleeves are cut in one with the back and front. The self-fabric belt can be wrapped around the waistline twice and tied.

A versatile pattern that you can create a 1950s house robe, a dress or even a coat. Would you like to make one and look like as glamourous as an old hollywood star at home?

It is a very easy pattern to make, with only 5 pattern pieces. It has dolman sleeves, the full skirt and yes, it has pockets!

Simple to Make.

Georgia O'Keeffe wore variations of the same wrap dress for years. It all began with an artist's smock she bought from Neiman Marcus in the late 1950s. She liked the design enough to have it copied in different colours. Softly fitted at the waist with a gently flared skirt, it was comfortable to wear and practical enough to work in.

How to Measure Your Bust

  1. Wear a well-fitting bra.
  2. Wrap a measuring tape around the fullest part of your bust.
  3. Keep the tape level across your back and comfortably snug, without pulling it tight.
  4. Record your measurement in inches or centimetres and compare it with our size chart.

For the best fit, always choose your pattern size based on your body measurements, not your usual shop size. Always check your bust measurement before ordering!
