How to Measure Your Bust

  1. Wear a well-fitting bra.
  2. Wrap a measuring tape around the fullest part of your bust.
  3. Keep the tape level across your back and comfortably snug, without pulling it tight.
  4. Record your measurement in inches or centimetres and compare it with our size chart.

For the best fit, always choose your pattern size based on your body measurements, not your usual shop size. Always check your bust measurement before ordering!

5-stars on simple & immediate download! Not thrilled to print & tape and tape and tape, but that's the nature of the beast, isn't it? A solid understanding of clothing construction is essential here--this is not an easy pattern to follow. It needs a lot of fitting, too. This first attempt is a size or two larger than French 36. Also, I suggest applying the boning just after assembling the lining pieces (before sewing them to the main fabric).
