        Fabric Amount Guide

        1 ½ yds. hard binding 7/8” wide. (A strong cotton binding—not bias.)

        Bias binding cut from firm material to match or contrast.

        Recommended Fabrics

        SOLES - Linoleum, leather or felt.
        For padding - Cotton wadding, carpet felt, or several layers of thick material.
        Lining - woollen material.

        UPPERS - Any strong material for outside, e.g., tweed, cotton, hessian, thin leather.
        Lining - Woollen material as for sole.
        Interlining - Felt, cut from an old felt hat.
