Men's and Boy's 1930s Tie Cut Two Ways

Recreate 1930s art deco elegance of this debonair tie. The pattern includes two styles of tie, one bias-cut in the style of 1924 German American tailor Jesse Langsdorf, as well as a straight cut version. The depression-era clashed bright colours with bold spots and stripes. Stand out from the crowd like Frank Sinatra and Cary Grant in this true to era wardrobe accessory.

Two patterns are given.  One pattern (with end facings) is for a bias tie.  The other pattern (which requires less material) is for a tie cut on the straight of the material.  There is also a shorter length (indicated on the pattern) suitable for boys, age 10 -14 years.

Offered here as: Paper Pattern or the Original Pattern. This pattern is also available as a PDF download.
